What the heck is up with this rain & cold wind?!  >:(

The weekend weather forecast didn't look too bad back on Thursday/Friday.  If this UK weather thinks it's going to give me 10 months of winter again, it had better think again!

Per Mrs. R. above:
Dear Weather God's in Leeds,
I am from California, so please make this a nice winter. I arrive in September so if you could give me like two days of niceness me and the Leed's ladies would totally appreciate it.
Love,
Sarah

Sarah - We're having it all in the same day, in a sort of repetitive motion.  I thought it was quite chilly earlier on this morning, very windy & then we had a brief rain shower.  Then the sun came out, we went to pick blackberries, it was feeling warm out (we had fleeces on though) but still very windy.  Now it has clouded over again, same strong wind, but with the sun peeking out here & there.  Just no telling!  :P

Ahhh, British weather. I miss it, but then again I don't. That said, we're bracing for another week of 90F plus temps and high humidity. I'm a tad over that, too.

How cool!  Thank you so much!!  :)

We had fun, but it was freezing- the rain and wind opened up on us for a while and we were very chilly- then the sun came out and we started to warm and then back to freezing again -
We play again next month, goodness knows what the weather will be like then!  :P

DH arrived on Saturday (for our anniversary on the 8th -- 36 years!  :D) and they stopped him at immigration and told him he's been in the US too much to use the visa waiver anymore and he should get the regular visa -- which is what he had before they told him to go with the visa waiver!!

It was so good too!  ;)  We had it on toast this morning for breakfast - told DH I think it's the best jam I've ever eaten.

Mmm. Jam. We bought canning stuff but haven't used it yet. Hoping to catch some of the last berries over the next week or 2.

My IA: way, way, waaaaaay too much stress. :(

We don't have any special equipment - lol!  What he did is a soft set jam that you have to keep either in the freezer (for longer periods) or the fridge.  He didn't use any pectin - just sugar.  But it was just a small quantity overall.  Last Christmas, someone gave us this Jamie Oliver gift set with two little decorative jars (with rubber rings) containing coarse sea salt & coarse ground pepper.  We had used up the salt, so I just dumped the pepper into a plastic container.  Then sterilised the jars with boiling water just before we filled them.  We didn't have a third jar, so we just put the rest into a ramekin - but that's almost gone already!  :-[ :)

I'm stressed.  For no reason, and it's affecting my sleep which really pi**es me off.  Couldn't get to sleep until 4 a.m., was wide away from 7:30-10ish. Finally went back to sleep and didn't get up until 2 p.m. Grrrrr.  :(

Speaking of, we have been under a lot of stress, which has been making DH talk more in his sleep, usually about the job he no longer has, which makes me sad.  :\\\'( But, the fourth time he woke me up last night, he was saying that he had joined the Dark Side, so that made me snicker a little.  :P

I'm so sorry J- however I've joined the dark side, if only to make me earn money to beat the force.  ;)

I had a blood test today. I'm not good with needles but can generally manage for a short while, so I had a bit of a panic when the nurse asked, "What exactly are you having problems with? Because your doctor is taking quite a bit of blood!"
I fainted after vial #3.  :-[
