So annoying. For the last two days, I was the top bidder on something on ebay.  3 minutes before the auction ended- I was out bid by £1 and I wasn't home to be able to add more. So I lost something I wanted by only 1 quid. Grrrr  >:( >:( >:(
I've never gotten food on my underpants!

Poor DH stubbed one of his smaller toes on something earlier today & it's all purple & hurty.  After we went walking, I made him put his foot up with an ice pack on the toe for awhile.  (He insisted he was okay to go walking, but I said he should have taken it easy.)

Meanwhile, one of my wrists is aching.  I have these tiny spindly wrists (compared to the rest of me  ::)) & I'm always wrenching them on something - usually I don't even remember doing it.  Ow.

Justin Bieber at the State Fair today. We were lost in a sea of teeny bopper girls. Ugh.
When I was 5 years old, my mother always told me that happiness was the key to life. When I went to school, they asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up. I wrote down ‘happy’. They told me I didn’t understand the assignment, and I told them they didn’t understand life. ~ John Lennon

I have to go to work.  For the sixth day straight. And I close.

I'd call in sick, but I want to take my mom for lunch and a mani/pedi on Thursday to thank her for buying me $500 worth of luggage and letting me live with her for the past three months and tonight will pay for that.  Boo.

"Hello, Crisis Loans. Oh, sorry, I do realize you have been trying to get through all day long and our line was busy and you have just now been on hold for 20 minutes, but your crisis is inconvenient for us, and we don't issue funds after 2:30pm, so please call back tomorrow before 2:30pm, even though our hotline says we are open until 4:30."  WTF??!!!!!  [smiley=bomb.gif] [smiley=bigcry.gif] [smiley=smash.gif] [smiley=mad.gif] [smiley=hanged.gif] [smiley=end.gif]

As you can see, hubs and I are banging our heads against the wall trying to get some help here. I have been on the phone to the Job Centre 10 times today and they signed me on for an appointment, which I thought was for some kind of emergency aid, and it turned out it was for job search. Hello?! I had two interviews last week and I have three this week. I don't need help learning how to search for a job, I need help to pay rent (which is already two weeks late) until I get another job. Thanks for nothing!  ::)

I'm sorry Jewlz. Can't you go down to the job centre and apply or have they stopped that now?

mine: people on ebay who wait till the last minute to bid on something I am selling! I'm addicted to checking it and I see 11  watchers and only 1 bid! Bid people bid!!!

You don't necessarily need to call them about the crisis loan yet, Jewlz. Could you drop in and get a form if you can't download it?

I'd complete the form:
http://www.direct.gov.uk/en/Diol1/DoItOnline/DG_4017683
with all the relevant paperwork it asks for.

Make an appointment with the CAB http://www.citizensadvice.org.uk/bureau_detail.htm?serialnumber=101385 to review you application.

Could you access the Sure Start as an alternative - they seem to have Job Centre links:
http://www.coastalchildrenscentres.org.uk/

Also write a cover letter outlining why the application is urgent, e.g. impending homelessness, and any timeline issues, for example. Keep copies of everything.

If you are unhappy with the outcome once the paperwork is submitted to the Jobcentre, you need to request an internal review by the Jobcentre. The next stage, if needed, is the Independent Review Service.

http://www.irs-review.org.uk/irsreview/review.htm

Could you keep the Job Centre appointment to submit your Crisis Loan application? Could you get someone at the CAB to call on your behalf to mediate with the Jobcentre (sometimes there are adviser to adviser phone lines)?

Hope that helps or email me if you have any concerns / questions. HTH ((Hugs))

MY IA Is kidney pain all day since 5.00 AM - was told by nice doc to ring this AM for appt. if things didn't improve by today and I didn't as things were getting mucho better until early this morning. Will try the GP tomorrow and will wait for nice GP. Why can't this just clear up already?   ::)

Sorry you are still not well.  :\\\'( Thanks for all of the links. We will try again tomorrow morning before my hospital appointment. Hopefully something will work out. I'd really like to at least not be worried about paying rent and having a massive overdraft while my parents are here.  :-\\\\ Hopefully I will at least have a job lined up by then -- things are looking pretty good there, at least. Hope you get yourself sorted soon and start feeling better.  :-*

Still feeling like %$^& but better than yesterday. Nice GP is not back until 20th September  :o :o :o so made no appointment. I am at the point where  am thinking to ask for unpaid leave. And almost hoping I go into hospital next week, and not just for tests. I am being driven slowly insane by just not getting better.  :-\\\\ :-\\\\ :-\\\\
