Our catsitter dumped us.  Apparently she has too much business, and doesn't want to travel outside her catchment area as she's been doing (and was compensated for).  I'm really distraught, as the cats liked her and we could trust her.  I feel strangely stung by this, since we were really easygoing and I generally left a massive tip.  I know money isn't everything, but it feels kinda personal.  Like she just doesn't want to deal with us.

And now I have to find a good, reliable catsitter who can give medication.  Awesome.  It wasn't easy the first time and we had a terrible experience with the first person.  She forgot to feed the cats.   :-\\\\

Our best loved guinea pig (my profile pic) Peregrine died.  He was old and had been a bit of a Lazarus with near-deaths for over a year, but we were still sad.  My little girl insisted we bury him in our garden in a shoebox filled with notes, pictures, "presents" and a cucumber slice.  I've never dug a grave before and only hope I buried him deep enough that neighborhood animals won't dig him up.

Awww -- reminds me of the time we buried our sweet Toby (black and white cat) in the front garden with all four of us blubbering our eyes out. Went back inside to console one another and next-door pushed a very kind sympathy note through the door. My condolences to you.

:( So sorry to hear about that. Your daughter sounds exactly like how I was when my hamster died. My dad had to bury him when I was around 9 years old and we put him in a little jar with all of his favourite things. It was the same with my dog last year. It's such a hard thing to go through. My condolences to you and your family.
I urge you to please notice when you are happy, and exclaim or murmur or think at some point, 'If this isn't nice, I don't know what is.' Kurt Vonnegut

I have regained the 2 lbs. I've struggled to take off over the summer -- in the one week since DH has been back. I blame his cookie baking  ???

RIP, Peregrine!  :\\\'(  I remember how sweet the little critter was when Steve was holding him.

Compared to everyones elses IA on here mines minuscule but it annoyed me. Our local ASDA has a large banner out saying Tickled Pink campaign an when that goes on I usually get a pair of Tickled Pink tracky bottoms. so I walked to ASDA specifically this afternoon before I went to meet my friend in town to get a new pair cause my old ones are way to big on me now. I looked everywhere in the clothes bit an couldn't find anything that was Tickled Pink so I asked one the ASDA workers if I was overlooking the range an she said that they didn't have any of the stuff in yet & didn't know when it would be in either. whats the point of putting the banner out if you don't have any of the stuff yet!!  ::)  :P

My mom won't go to bed and I can't say anything.  I need to use the living room to pack and it's a small room so I don't really have the space for her to be laying across a couch watching some crap program.  Ugh.  Go to bed!

2 rejections for retail Christmas temp jobs.  How am I not qualified to work for 12 weeks at a shop?!  I don't want your manager job despite the fact that I've been one (been there, not happening again!) I don't want to try to stay on afterward, I won't be putting you in any kind of breach of immigration rules because I need to look out for my own a$$ more than yours anyway.  Plus, I LIKE WORKING!!! I am an awesome worker! But your stupid online applications with their stupid personality profile questions don't allow for me to tell you how awesome I am! GIVE ME A JOB!!!!

Ok, that felt better.  :P
