Inconvenient Annoyances

My "Supervisor" wanted to know why I have been returning problems to people who I have been training! 
Because - maybe - they'll learn something when I point out what the correct procedure is?

My IA today is finding out that one of my job referees hasn't submitted his reference yet! It was emailed to him a week ago, but I'm on a tight schedule -I have to give my notice at work by Friday, but I don't want to give notice until I've signed the new job contract... and they won't send out the contract until they've received all of the references!!

That's definitely annoying! But YAY on the job! I'd missed that!!

So sorry, CB. That completely sucks.  But if they miss out on your special day, then it is totally their loss and I am more than happy to show up and sit on the boy's side since we are both Texans.  I can pretend we are related and no one would know the difference! 

IA: My feet hurt from all this sightseeing I've been doing, and I really miss sleeping with DH since we have had to sleep in separate twin beds since my parents came (DSS's room is long and narrow and so we just borrowed MIL's single mattress from her guest room to put in the floor of his room and gave my parents our bed. )

Thanks . It only happened 2 weeks ago.. I got a call from the company who pulled my job contract back in January saying that the training course had been approved to run again in October and that they were offering me a place on it . So in 4 weeks time, I will be finally starting my science-related career (as long as I get the references and contract sorted out) - yay!

A spider must have had a feast on my arm last night. I have about 4 bites on just that side... 

Getting up at 8am to call the doc for appt to find out it has to be 830 as before then it is emergencies only.
Doesn't help when you cant sleep till 2am.

I know! We always go to Texas Embassy, sit at the bar and eat queso, but I have to go to Paris for work this year and I'll miss it!

Wore new shoes today, and after hobbling from the train station, my feet are killing me. Still have to get back home somehow tonight.

The library here doesn't open until 1:15 on Tuesdays and Thursdays.  Such a random time! Fortunately I checked, since I was just about to walk out the door!

This should not even be my IA, but my BF refuses to do anything about a seriously ingrown hair on his cheek. A blotch of his skin is completely inflamed and I kept telling him to do something about it, only to have him say "oh, it's just a spot, leave it alone". It's not just a spot if you can see a big black hair stuck in it! Ugh. So now that he's accepted he has an ingrown hair, he claims he can't do anything about it and won't let me touch it. It would take two seconds with a tweezer, but he's being such a baby saying "it will hurt" or "it will break the skin". I am so not going to put up with his complaints when it really becomes embedded in his cheek and causes an infection. He is such a wimp sometimes.
