Why what happened?

Not as much of a loss as I'd hoped.

I got a text tonight to tell me that my co-worker had her baby early. Not an IA, she's really happy and everything... But, I'm taking over her job on Fridays and I was supposed to have another couple weeks before she went on maternity leave to sort myself out.  :-\\\\ Basicaly she teaches someone else's class on Fridays because the class teacher is only part time. I was supposed to meet with the classroom teacher to discuss my role this week, and then begin preparing right away. Having only taught music before, I was really counting on that time to get myself ready. I'm kinda freaking out.  :-[

PL - you'll be great, I'm sure! :)

CB - ugh, hang in there!

Mine - meant to call my parents this week, and have once again forgotten. Stupid time differences (and need of sleep).

My mom just sent me this in an email about an incident near their home in PA. Totally sent chills up my spine. How horrifying for the people who found them!

They had an incident in Newberry twp where some trick or treaters went to a door where they thought there were decorations on the porch only to find that the body hanging there was real..someone had committed suicide.

Just realized that my absentee ballot for 2010 elections needs to be in NC by 5pm today. :( Not happening, obviously.

I was convinced elections weren't until next week, so I thought I had plenty of time to get it in the mail, and now I feel dumb.

starting to panic about an upcoming job interview.
When I was 5 years old, my mother always told me that happiness was the key to life. When I went to school, they asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up. I wrote down ‘happy’. They told me I didn’t understand the assignment, and I told them they didn’t understand life. ~ John Lennon

And another one... my dress trouser socks (knee high length) seem to be trying to cut off my circulation. Ouch.

Good luck with the interview, balmerhon!

Another one for me - chatting with a friend back in the US about my landlord issues, and he's giving me a guilt trip about how my landlord sounds financially strapped (if she's concerned about being able to show the flat immediately upon someone giving notice) and I should offer to sign another 6 month lease to ease her worries.

'Cause yeah, that's exactly what I want to do in response to sudden onset of wacko behaviour.

Ugggh, it's not your fault if your landlord is strapped (well so long as you pay your rent) and it's not your job to "ease your landlord's worries"- its her business afterall, its not a personal relationship!
