My husband blasting the new Michael Jackson song on his netbook & it's crappy speaker...MJ is awful but the netbook speakers just make it that much more grating.

I thought I was the only one who didn't think MJ was all that.

My IA is that in the past hour I've started getting quite shivery and achy.  I can not get sick as MrRed5 is still on the mend.

Yuck. :( At least the delay is with the courier, and not immigration, though.

Oh, definitely!  In that case, I'd be completely flipping out rather than just annoyed.  It's the second time we've had to go there in 6 months (thanks, HR!) and it stresses me out SO much.

Tangentially related PEO Croydon thing:  When we arrived, I had an empty can of diet coke.  I asked if I could throw it away.  No.  I get it, no trash cans in public places in/near govt buildings.  So I go to tuck it inside my bag, because I know there are trash cans inside past security.  Also no.  The guy told me to take it outside and throw it on the ground.  Sigh.

No, you're not alone.  And feel better.

My IA: Smashed my arm on a door knob/lever last night and now my arm is still super sensitive and sore.

I do this on a weekly basis, unfortunately to the same arm 99% of the time. My husband tells me to slow down, I tell him that there is such a thing as a doorknob that are safer for klutzes like me. I hate door handles.

Hope yours heals soon, I have a bruise the size of a silver dollar on my right arm from where I hit it over last weekend and it's still quite sore.

Why do foxes make such strange noises?!?! Especially in our garden... [smiley=dead.gif]
Yeah, they're kinda weird -- you expect them to sound like dogs.

This crazy wind outside!  I loaded up the boot of the car with our glass recyclables in a box and various carrier bags (ok we're not alcoholics really - we just let it pile up a long time before we take them  :-[) and took them to the bottle bank at Morrisons.  In the process of shifting them, the wind snatched two of the empty carrier bags up out of the car & as far as I know, they are now in North Yorkshire - because they sailed too far and too fast for me to chase them.  And of course, my long hair (by the time I finished running my errands) ended up looking like I'd been dragged backwards through a hedge.

running late. again.
When I was 5 years old, my mother always told me that happiness was the key to life. When I went to school, they asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up. I wrote down ‘happy’. They told me I didn’t understand the assignment, and I told them they didn’t understand life. ~ John Lennon

Text from the hubs...he's at the German Christmas Market, in the Frankfurter-scheune/Bierkeller...oy vey!  ::)

He claims it won't be a repeat of last year.  :P

This is doubly annoying because it seems too early for the Christmas Market (it just opened today) - argh!  It's not even Thanksgiving yet.  :(  (and since he's there tonight, thank goodness it's not Thanksgiving!  ;))

Definitely!  And I reckon this gives me free reign to go & crack open one of those bottles of wine that I bought today...  :D  (I really should have put this in UP/IA, now that I think about it.)

When we moved to a new house, we paid Royal Mail £16xx to redirect our mail to the new house which was supposed to go into effect yesterday. (What a racket!) I still have access to the old house's mail and our mail was delivered to there both today and yesterday inspite of me paying Royal Mail to do otherwise.I have called Royal Mail today and the customer service rep apoligized profusely and says it shouldn't happen again. We'll see.  I really don't want to have to go back to the old house to check the mail everyday.  >:(

DH called our health insurance company to claim back my two doctor's visits and they told him that you can only claim back charges when your policy is up for renewal.  ???  This means we can't claim them until May. So dumb.
