Length of employment for UK fiancee visa?

I know it doesn't sound promising at the moment, I know the chances are non-existent really as things stand right now. I know I just have to keep plugging away with job applications until one FINALLY comes through and then we can do it the right way. It's just that time is ticking on, it's been almost a year now since we last saw each other (2nd May). We've both been dreading that date arriving, but it's time to face facts.
I have a few irons in the fire at the moment, I'm just hoping one of them pays off REALLY soon!

Spud - I feel for you, this has to be really hard - especially with no firm end date in sight.  I hope that something works out for you two soon.  Good luck finding a job.
