Yeah, he's not the spring chicken he once was, but he's still around for a few minutes here or there.  I almost referred to him as the "old man" in my earlier post but didn't have the heart to do it!

Ricki... he was around when we were kids, but I don't think he was on as much as the others which is why you probably don't remember him.  He did the "People In Your Neighborhood" song - remember that? :D

Wasn't that the song Mr. Rodgers sang?

or is that Won't you be my neighbor?

I loved Mr. Rodgers...

but I learned to count in spanish with Sesame Street..............

Does anyone remember School House Rock....I'm just a bill..........

When Cassie was little she used to love watching The Elephant Show...that was on PBS and was a show from Canada....

Mr. Rodgers was my absolute favorite...loved "going on the field trips" each episode. And yes, his song was "won't you be my neighbor."
I lived in northern Maine for a while when my oldest three were little and watched the elephant show also...it was called something like "The Bram and two other women can't remember names Elephant...." show!

Nope never heard of that but it sort of reminded me of The New Zoo Review. Anyone remember that one? Going way back now. Freddie the Frog and Henrietta Hippo. The guy with the moustache..cant remember his name. Very 70s.

I loved The New Zoo Review. No recollection of the moustache guy's name, though. What about H.R. Puff n'Stuff? How psychedelic was that?

I was in love with the magic flute! (How strange was I?!)

My sister, 5 years older than I, sent away and got a signed picture from...oh shoot, can't remember that little guy with Freddie the Flute! Hmmm...he was kinda cute, when I was a preschooler, but I still loved Freddie the best!

"H.R. Puff n Stuff..whose your friend when things get rough?"
Weird, like some sort of child abuse campaign slogan!

That's it! You've got a great memory!

Now, I have asked others before but no one seems to remember this one:
The Bugaloos (or bugaboos...think it was loos)
They sang...they had like bee costumes on or something, remember stingers.
I will have to go google this...brb

There was a big retro resurgence a few years back with all the Krofft stuff - they released all their shows on video.  My husband picked up a "best of" set - man, I forgot how creepy it all was!!  And I thought Teletubbies was weird!!  :o
