this is convincing me to book the 2 tickets to DC in june for 750.00

crap. i thought i might be able to get cheaper

one thing about getting married-paying for TWO plane tickets hurts!!!!!!!!!!

WOW 2?!?!? ...omg that's alot. And june is the MOST expensive time to fly (i've heard). Book it during the week...like fly out on a wednesday (cheapest day to fly out). Good luck!

i agree, i go direct to the providers and get the same, if not 10.00 cheaper deals (without booking fees)

plus i am an advantage member on a lot of airlines so i know i'll get credit most of the time on the flights.

Yeah last year we were looking online at like orbitz and those other sites and found tickets for outrageous amounts of money...called the airline and they searched and found one for $800 (yes expensive but not nearly as expensive as the websites)

Has anyone had any experience using cheaptickets.com?  They seem to quote pretty low fares.  ???

Went and looked... cheapest was $734 per person which is...$7 more than going to the actual airlines website.

Yeah, I have always found that the airlines themselves are cheaper than when I look on the travel sites mentioned here, too.

It is...I think they hide some of their tickets lol or something...they can ALWAYS find you a better deal than what's on a website...you just have to ask and have them prode around.

you need to make sure you go all the way thru and price the tickets cause they will add fuel tax and charges at the very end..so make sure you go to almost the end of the procedure..right before you hit the confirm button!!!

I want to go home for Thanksgiving!

I think whenever me and my boyfriend do get married...that will be the roughest part for me. Thanksgiving lol...being around my family, eating...all that fun. I told my boyfriends family that I'll cook anyway haha I don't care if they don't celebrate it...it's just a time to be around the ones you care about.

Will the ticket be expensive?

i went on our flight booking system and sourced out IOM-LGW-HOU-DFW-LGW-IOM

and it was £429.40 each!

That was BA all the way.

IOM=Isle of Man
LGW=London Gatwick
HOU=Houston
DFW=Dallas

That is each..less than what I booked for 2004...plus the one I booked in 2004 was from Manchester Via Chicago to Tulsa.

My best friend called off her wedding 3 weeks before and I was glad that I hadn't bought tickets yet.  I wanted to be there but couldn't swing the time off work.  I would've been stuck with a ticket and time off but no wedding!
Love your life, poor as it is. You may perhaps have some pleasant, thrilling, glorious hours, even in a poorhouse. The setting sun is reflected from the windows of the almshouse as brightly as from the rich man’s abode; the snow melts before its doors as early in the spring. Cultivate property like a garden herb, like sage. Do not trouble yourself much to get new things, whether clothes or friends. Turn the old; return to them. Things do not change; we change. Sell your clothes and keep your thoughts…
