Virgin UpperClass is Amazing!!!  Thanks for asking and the advice.  You were so right to give such a high recommendation of UpperClass.  The length of the bed, the comfortable seats, excellent entertainment system, the departure lounge and just everything Virgin offered made for a wonderful flight.

Thanks again Elizabeth for you help :D

There ya go! you sold it well..wanna come do my job while I am holiday?? sounds like you would be purrtrtttty good!!

The lounge was awesome, I loved my beauty treatment.  No sleep suit.

The flight was suppose to be 8.5 hours, though we flew it in 7hours,I was actually bummed.   I would have not minded being on the plane for much, much longer.  It was just a great travel experience.

So I see you didn't even bother with Premium Economy and went straight to the front.   :)  Main deck or Upper deck?

I know what you mean when you don't want the flight to end.  I flew in Club World on BA to Hong Kong over New Year's (present to myself, worry about the cost when my credit card bill comes  ;))and would you believe that I didn't want the 12 hour flight going and 13 hour flight coming back to end.

Can anyone hazard a guess how much more these types of tickets cost?  I have never even thought of paying more for a plane ticket, but everyone is making it sound really nice.... :)

Don't need to guess; I checked!  Virgin Upper Class, full fare is oh, just around £5,000/$10,000  ;D
Hence a LOT of free stuff and amazing service... and food!

Just earn them points people!  ;)

I would never in a million years buy a full fare premium class ticket (unless of course my company was paying for it for business travel).  My purchase was for a restricted premium class ticket that was on sale and non-refundable if cancelled.  But I knew what days I wanted to travel and at what times of day and went for it.

You need to splurge every now and then.   :)

True...
but ... POINTS...
Granted, my folks are in a slightly different income bracket than most of us - they are NOT rich though - but when they fly, they always exchange their points to premium or upper... they have NEVER actually paid.

Same as my parents, and most of the time it's when they travel for business.

I think (is that right?) Maddierose's ticket was quite a bit less than that because it was a special offer. I just signed up for Virgin's service that lets you know about deals -- the thought of all those extras is verrrry appealing!
