Thanks, y'all, but I sold it two hours ago and already have to beg a ride to the store! Don't think I'm going to deal with this no-car thing very well!  :-\\\\

Yay for you! Have you heard any news about your arrival? I sold my car right before New Years. It was a relief to get it sold, but I miss it so much!

[smiley=cowboy.gif Awww Paula, you'll be ok, just think you are set to ride off into the sunset very soon now!  ;D

Used my SIl's car to go to the store and bought a big thing of choc ice cream and Hershey's syrup to celebrate! Will eat myself sick tonight and worry about the rest tomorrow!  [smiley=puke.gif]

No, sunny, I don't have an arrival date yet. Still waiting on the @#$%^&* GSCC registration to come through. BUt, am making good progress on my packing and have sold most of the items I wanted to sell before leaving so I'm pleased with where I am...tonight, anyway!  ;)

I know the feeling.  Getting stuck without a car for a few days now just seems so awkward, almost like being about 16 again and having to rely on friends or parents to give you rides.

Around here a car is just about essential anyway.  We don't have many of those, er....... hmmm..... I forget what they're called.  Big things which carry lots of people..... Oh yeah, I remember now -- Buses!   ;D

It's certainly a new feeling for me, having owned a car since I was 17 but I figure it's good practice for living in London!  ;D

Congrats, Paula!

I know how you feel; I just sold my beloved car 2 days ago.  Sniffle.  But there is a bright side: being trapped in the house without transport has forced me to do some long-overdue packing!

Hope everything works out & you get to leave for England SOON!

Just think you'll be my neighbour soon!! sorry that you've had to sell your car..I sold mine 6 years ago and still think of the fond memories I had with it...but think of all the Marmite you can buy!! ;D
But never fear, gentlemen; castration was really not the point of feminism, and we women are too busy eviscerating one another to take you on.
