well buy yourself about 20 boxes cause you will munch them up in no time.

I showed remarkable restraint and only ordered five boxes. ;)

My wife just bought 4 boxes of Kraft Mac & Cheese at the Rosslyn Deli, a great find thanks to the folks on this board.

http://www.delirosslyn.co.uk/index.htm

But warning, it's way overpriced. We paid 1.20 pounds per box (compared to 5 for $1 USD when it's on sale at Safeway!)  I also dropped some cash for Stove Top Stuffing, Nestle Tollhouse chocolate chips and Goldfish crackers.

P.S. I love those "Not for Girl" chocolates. I sent a bunch home to my niece and nephew as novelty christmas presents! It takes just like a Krackle bar.

It's little biscuit sticks, one end is coated in chocolate. There are other flavours too - banana, strawberry etc but I have only had the chocolate ones, they are very moreish!

ps yes I know Thais R Us, hilarious! It's a great shop, they have so much stuff in there, I would be lost without it, there is nowhere else around here to buy Asian groceries.

Thanks, sounds like something I would like to try :D

I asked my fiance today....he mentioned they don't have Krat Mac and Cheese in the UK.

Also, while on topic, does anyone know where(if possible) You can get top ramen, peanutbutter M&Ms (not peanut, but peanutbutter) Pocky (it's a Japanese candy) Jiffy cornbread mix, RockStar (an energy drink...it says London on the can, but when I went, I didn't see it anywhere) or Reese's minitures...?

I've gotten Kraft Mac and Cheese in Sommerfields (Edinburgh) and I'm sure I've seen it other places, as well.

Top Ramen is "Super Noodles"--slightly different, but tastes close enough (Cup 'o Noddles is Pot Noodles.  Yuck!  Pot Noodles just doesn't compare!)

I've never seen PB M&Ms, sorry.  No clue on the Pocky, either.

You can find corn meal mix in bins at the health food stores.  Sometimes you need to look for "Polenta" mix.  Remember to bring your Jiff recipe from home ...

RockStar and Resees Minis, again, no idea.  Sorry!

Thank you! I have to say, with out my Mac & Cheese, I would have defiantely had it shipped in....and that would be more expensive then £1.20 a box. JUst.....Part of it is sentimental attachment from a kid, and no brand, no tasted compares to the little blue box.

And that deli has my Celestial Seasonings tension tamer! I didn't even think of that! Withouth that, I am She-beast PMS monster! Thank you, you are a hero!  :D

Yorkies (Not For Girls!) are just chocolate... with no crispies in them.
It must have been something else you tried that was just like a Krackle.

I've not seen any Rockstar here. I loved Full Throttle and miss that. You'll be disappointed in the selection of energy drinks here. All we've really got is Red Bull and a few immitations. Nothing like the huge selection in the US! I drink Red Bull now and buy it from Netto where it's 68p a can instead of £1.09 like most stores. I do miss those energy drinks in the giant cans though!

You'll get used to not having the same things though. I complained about it for quite awhile and it's taken me just about until now (7 months later) to realize I'm fine without the things I really missed and have found plenty of other things I enjoy.

I had never heard of "Pocky" but  it reminded me of a choc dipped biscuit I loved getting from France- I have found it occasionally in specialist stores in the UK, but it might be an alternative if you have friends that go to France regularly.

Warning: totally *delish* and addictive, I think they cost about 1 Euro on the ferries too.

Instead of thinking about all the foods you're going to miss...think about all the new stuff you get to try!! I'm stuck in the states right now, and I would kill to have chips from a chippy, wkd blue, areo bars, a kinder egg or go to a pub.  My mom mailed me a few peanut butter m&m's while I was in the UK, but other than that, I just got over it and found new foods.

I am lucky in the aspect that there is a local pub, Streets of London, that's fairly true to an English one Save you have to smoke outside, but the feel is of true English, from bangers and mash to two dart boards, and the guy who opened it is from across the pond. Heh, onlything I would change is add Guinness extra cold. (Who says they drink warm beer in England?) But yeah, there are a lot of good things that I'm fond of, Treacle tart and Toad in the hole to name a couple. And It's nice to have a good fry up for breakfast. Just somethings shall be missed.
