« on: January 24, 2006, 09:20:10 AM »
I feel like an idiot.

I get paid my 2005 bonus late february, 2006.

Does this count towards my 2005 or 2006 taxes??????

UK - falls under the April 2005-April 2006 taxes.
US - Falls under 2006 tax year.  So just enjoy it for now and worry about it next year :)

so as my tax is taken out directly for the UK, i don't have to worry about it.

It's only NEXT year that i have to in the US? UGH.  That sucks!  The worst bit will be when i move back next year after getting my 2006 bonus in 2007.........then start a US job.  oh man. i don't want to think about it.

I hear you...This whole tax thing is starting to get me really stressed out.  I have hired accountants both sides of the pond just to make sure I don't do anything stupid.
