TV/DVD Converter
« on: January 29, 2006, 03:15:52 PM »
I would like to bring my DVD to the UK with me so I can continue to watch my DVDs.  Is there a converter that I need to plug it into the television, or do they use the same plugs over there?  If they do need a converter, where can I get one?

Yes, there are converters but you should check out the Electronics section of the forum. There is some great info there! Good luck!

You can simply get a cheap DVD player here, region free, and watch your US DVDs.  No need to bring your US player here and deal with transformers.
Love your life, poor as it is. You may perhaps have some pleasant, thrilling, glorious hours, even in a poorhouse. The setting sun is reflected from the windows of the almshouse as brightly as from the rich man’s abode; the snow melts before its doors as early in the spring. Cultivate property like a garden herb, like sage. Do not trouble yourself much to get new things, whether clothes or friends. Turn the old; return to them. Things do not change; we change. Sell your clothes and keep your thoughts…

We brought all of our NA DVDs and we can watch them all on our UK DVD player which was not an all-region DVD player.  Also, there is a website where you can get the codes to enable a region specific DVD player to play all DVDs.

Try
