ILR = Indefinite Leave to Remain, ie permanent residency.

There can be a problem if people come to the UK on visit visas and have no realy ties to their home country - the IO can sometimes question the intention to return.  However, as you have already been admitted to the UK once and have left within the duration of your visa, there is unlikely to be a problem.

Just tell the truth.

One thing that helps is to use the search function on this website if you see a word or phrase you don't understand. It will usually have been explained a few times before.
