Harbin is in China but has a huge Russian community. Many fled there during the revolution in 1917.

It is a totally COOL festival and I have always wanted to go! Thanks for posting the pics!

That looks really cool (no pun intended!) I can't believe what they can make out of the snow and ice.
Almost makes me want to switch the Hong Kong trip to this place.  I'd love to tackle the wall of ice and slide down the Great Wall.
