my hubby has started doing a lot of research on this subject and is increasingly impressed in the british made micralite....

here's a bit of satire on micralite/bugaboo [deeply sad, but sorta funny]

will do.... one thing he did say is that he liked the look of the Hauks. they are a german company, which is a great sign for the overal workmanship. however he could not find any product reviews, which made him a bit nervous. i think that's why he's started leaning towards the micralites, because they seem to get good reviews.

here's some sites, apols if they are repeats:

We were down to Hauk vs Quinny.  Went with the quinny and have regretted it ever since.  A friend had a quinny but then went with Hauk and said it was the best move she ever made.  It was a bit heavier, but they have been thrilled with it.

Yeah you might have to forgo the glider unless someone buys it as a present  ;D   I don't know anyone who had a glider or any kind of rocking chair.  There is so much baby paraphanelia you COULD spend money on but could cope equally well without.

My mother's gift to us was a glider w/ottoman.  We could have never in a million years been able to afford it on our own.  I do have to say, though, that if you can find someone willing to buy one for you it is sooooo worth it.  We still use it for stories every night before bed.

Hmm, so maybe I'll put it on my baby gift list ;), though my mom has the cot covered and grandparents are buying the pram (I am very lucky)

My brother and sister-in-law have one.  They live in the States.  I got so addicted to it when I'd come to see my nephew as a baby.  It is SO great!!!  We'll have to see, but it might have to happen...  I think my parents our going to buy the pram, so that will help!!!

Except if she gets the glider, we are talking another £400!  I have seen it for £300 at the lowest :o

Ikea has a lot of stuff too.  I don't know how good it is, but my friend had a cot from there and said it was fine.

errr.... what's a glider? ???
