I've already e-mailed this to most of my friends - got it this morning.

I think I got the last one too!

I don't mind Jamie Oliver so much, it's Gary Rhodes who has the kind of face (and attitude) that is just asking for a good slap.

I think it would be great fun to have dinner with Floyd or Anthony Worrall Thompson.

Rick Stein has some great recipes too tho restaurant in Padstow is ridiculous, price wise.

The closest I got was when the BF allowed me to stand on the pavement and read the menu that was outside. Hrmph.

We did, however, eat at his fish & chip place there and it was delish! I like Rick Stein, too. He's more of a chef and less of a performer than some of them.

DH got Jamie Oliver's Italian cookbook as a Christmas pressie from uncle & auntie.  We didn't ask for it or anything -- just a nice surprise pressie.  Since then, he's made some scrummie things out of it -- particularly *the best*  minestrone soup I've ever eaten.

Jamie has some fantastic recipes. They did a spread on him last year in BBC Good Food Magazine, after he had opened up his restaurant, Fifteen.

There was a recipe that he and his students developed similar to Hot cross buns and Chelsea buns that I tried. They were awesome! I baked them at Easter and at Christmas! (If anyone is interested in the recipe, let me know and I'll post it.)

I loved Gary Rhodes until I saw him on Hell's Kitchen. I had this perception, from all his cooking programs, that he was a soft-spoken, friendly guy. He came across as a real jerk on the show. Still some great recipes though and I wouldn't mind giving him a good slap! ;D ;)

I love jamie's fopd.  He's been getting on my nerves recently with the attitude....but whatever. He does good things.  Cooks good foods.  I don't mind him.

I love gary's food.  MMMM.  I've eaten at his dining establishments a few times and love them.  Also, he stood next to me at Rhodes W1.  That was cool.  :)
