Congratulations!

If it makes you feel any better, look upon it as having to learn a lot of bad habits in order to pass the U.K. test.     :D

Thanks!  Good way of looking at it Paul!

I feel very confused driving now.  I've been practicing trying to drive "the correct way" for a few months now, but never quite doing it and now I can go back to driving like I always have and I can't quite do that either.

Hopefully I'll hold onto the good I learned (if there was anything) and continue driving as I always have.  I am better at parallel parking now!   :)

At least you can let your parking brake have a rest now!    :P  ;D

I passed my driving test on SATURDAY!!  I just wanted to brag a little, only because I have been soo stressed out by all this mess of trying to fix 13 years of bad habits in just a few months.
I didn't need my provisional to take lessons so it must depend on the company.  You do have to have the provisional to take the tests though.
BUT I would definitely take lessons - I certainly wouldn't have passed without them, that a lot of prayer!!

Good luck!

I was wondering if you found the test as difficult as some say it is.....I am scheduled for my test in two weeks, am getting nervous already! ::)

I worked myself into a serious panic for the test!  I didn't find the test all that difficult, but I made sure to ask lots of questions from the instructor about what they would look for.  The main thing for me was to slow down, not just my speed but approaching junctions so that I could react  at the junction without hesitating.
The test person knew instantly that I was an experienced driver.

I worried way too much about the test, but the preparation was essential.

Hope that helps Don!
