Thank you mb for the correction.

matt needs 2 FBAR forms TDF 90-22.1 if he has some accounts in sole names and some in joint names, because the account holders name(s) at the top of each form would not match the names recorded at the foreign institution.

Hopefully I will be working in a week or 2. I will be making about 13000 a year and my wife making 4500 a year part time. What form I have to fill out? Will they take any tax out of my check? What will happen if I dont fill them out? Thanks.
Posted my FLR (M) on May 9th 2006 and got my visa on Jun 2nd 2006.

Hi there - assuming you talking in Pounds and about UK tax then ask your employer for form P86.  Tick the box saying that this is your only or main job and you'll avoid paying emergency tax.

yes I was talking in pounds. I was asking about what US form to fill up?

If you are working in the UK for a UK employer then they will withhold UK tax and National Insurance.  They will not normally withhold US taxes.

You will still need to file US tax returns by June 15, 2007 - these are typically forms 1040 plus 2555-EZ in your circumstances.
