My parents had a fabulous set of Funk & Wagnalls* that I used for years.  Of course, they were printed in the 50's and became a bit obsolete when I was in high school.  I remember having to sheepishly tell my teacher that I couldn't do my homework one night as the subject he'd assigned was too recent to be in my family's encyclopedia. :-[

*For all you Laugh-In fans.... yes, my father would frequently look at me and say "Look it up in your Funk & Wagnalls"  ::)

I got a weird thing about eggs, you know the white ambilical cord looking thing attached to the yolk?  I cannot do anything with eggs until I pull that out with a fork!   :P

My whole family is the same way.  I just cannot proceed with cooking anything with eggs until I pull that funky cord thing out.  I just did it a little while ago.... [smiley=bleck.gif]

I hate eating eggs all together. When I was a kid, I cracked an egg open once and there was blood in it (baby chick fetus maybe ???) and it put me off ever since

I feel like that happens all the time here.  It seems like just about every third egg or so has little blood spots in it.  It makes me gag.

All your talk of eggs -- I had to go & have two fried ones (with runny yolks :)) for lunch with toast.  DH thinks eggs are icky though & he doesn't eat them unless they're part of another primarily non-eggy recipe.

I won't eat eggs either...unless they are cooked in with something and it doesn't taste like eggs.

When I was in high school, my biology teacher made us look at an egg that had be incubated for a few weeks or so. When opened mine, I could see the heart beating.  :\\\'(  Everyone else's was dead already. Ever since then, I haven't been able to stomach eggs.  I get a little queasy just cracking eggs when I'm cooking.

Me too. I can never find shoes that fit right.
