Something odd about me....

Ok, now I've thought of something odd about me.  I don't shave my legs, ever. My hair is really fine and light blonde so you can't see it.

Sometimes my husband will use triangles instead because it drives me up the wall and I have to change it.

I can't believe I didn't get involved in this thread sooner! 

All of my toes, except my pinkie toes, have fully functioning joints, just like fingers.  I can grab things with them and spread them out to look like monkey hands.  Unfortunately they spread when I walk, so I can't wear thong sandals.   :\\\'(

Oh me too.  DH and I have contests to see who can pick up more things with their toes.  My mom thinks my toes are really gross and says when I curl them under my foot looks like a hand!

But mine don't spread out when I walk though...so I happily wear sandals all the time in summer.

Hey cap321 did you ever try lifting your toes off the ground (foot flat on the ground) and then putting each one down one at a time, in order?  My ballet teacher always tried to get us to practice that.  I still can't get it perfectly but pretty close!

When I was around 10-12 years old, I used to take pepper and put it on a piece of paper, then sniff it to make myself sneeze (seriously, no one knows that about me, I don't think!).  How bizarre! Amazing I didn't turn out to be a cocaine addict.

Another one - when I drive past a cemetery I hold my breath (my sister knows that and we have started teaching her kids the same thing!).  And when I fly, I say a prayer when we take off and land, and usually hold the hand of the person who's flying with me.  Just in case, you know.

I don't know if this is odd or not, but I have gone on strike from shaving until the weather gets warm!  I don't like shaving much anyway -- usually only do it with some regularity in the summer when legs, etc are showing.  But poor DH, if it doesn't warm up soon -- the jungle on my legs is going to overtake him in bed! He takes it all in stride, saying in jest -- It's like sleeping with a man! But how would he know?!

I hate to admit, but I'm with carolyn_b, haaaaaaaaaaaaate to shave my legs. I do shave under my arms everyday if needed, but only my legs in the winter when needed (romantic rendezvous w/ the hubs,  wearing cropped pants, ect  ). But I do shave in the summer more, especially if shorts are on the agenda. I think this year I am going to start getting my legs waxed again. It hurts like hell the first time but it is not so bad after that and I only have to get it done every six weeks. Worth it to me because my legs turn into a jungle as well.

(seriously, no one knows that about me, I don't think!).

I can't sleep at night with my bedroom door open.  I don't close it all the way so I can listen for my daughter, but it creeps me out to have it wide open. 

I also shave everytime I take a shower. If I dont I dont feel clean.

Well I reckon that DH is right then, when he calls me a dirty mare...

I can't shave in the shower because I am blind as a bat without my glasses & I will cut my legs to shreds (and have before whilst trying to do that).  It's just a nasty thing (shaving) that I hate, hate, haaaaate.  It just seems like such a production for something that's going to grow back so quickly.  I'm always encouraged when I read about some female celebrity who's 'going natural'.

About the shaving thing, I have to shave everytime I take a shower as well, and when I used to live in the desert back home, often taking more than one shower a day, I would have to shave both times, something about showering, and drying off, seemed to create bristles. My thing is, I count everything. It drives me crazy when I'm reading, because I count the words in sentences, letters in a word....try to see if the sentence will divide up into equal parts......I don't realize I'm doing it, but when I do I make myself stop, and read on.

I'm a counter as well....I count every step I take while I'm walking....always have done!

Yeah, and when driving down the motorway, especially at night, I count the lines and see how many there are before there's a reflector missing. Motorway drives are so boring here anyway....there's nothing to look at!!

On the motorway journey between my house and my work, i can see beautiful green rolling hills, the top bit of an ancient tower, fields full of horses, cows and sheep, the Forth Bridges in the distance... very pretty and definitely not boring!

Nothing like all those perfectly straight endless interstate highways back home...

I knew I was gonna get flack for that comment!! The motorway drives we take are a bit boring.....I much prefer the littler roads that wind through small towns and villages.
