I find it really hard to make eye contact with people.  I make a special effort for job interviews and generally when trying to make a good impression on somebody, but if I'm just chatting to friends or other people I usually won't make eye contact.  It just makes me uncomfortable...doesn't mean I'm shifty or anything  :P

:)
I know what you mean...I feel the same sometimes.

I find it hard to be friendly to DH's friends who I have never met before!  Sometimes I fear it comes across as rude or aloof or snotty...but I am just shy!   :)  I'm sure many would disagree with that.

Im not sure this is something ODD about me but I HATE the sound of people eating. Really really hate it. Especially noisy food like potato chips. I cant stand it! Last night my sons were eating popcorn and watching a movie. I did all i could not to leave the room as they munched away but ended up sitting there with my MP3 player attached to my ear instead.

I HATE the sound of people eating.

How odd is that. I used think it was just me and I am so self-conscious when I eat crisps or anything crunchy.

In addition to the noise thing, I go flippin' bananas when someone chews with lips open so they produce that smacking noise like a 50's bee-hived tart chewing gum.  >:(

 ...gimme shades  8)

I suppose since I only concurred with the above two, you guys want a new one from me :-\\\\

OK OK Already, keep your knickers on...Jeesh why don't you post one about your impatientness....

Well I haven't seen any of my fellow weidos  ;) mention Handshaking.

Over the last few years, I have taken a real dislike to hand shaking. Mainly because it is awkward to wash your hands after. You know what I mean like in a conference or meeting and I have to shake 6 or 7 hands and then we sit for a meeting. I mean like I don't want to touch my face or my pen. If its really bad (say there a few slime ball types) I'll excuse myself and go to the toilet so I can wash them (and that opens a door to another odd issue -- public handwashing).  :P :P

Handshaking arrgghh so YUK YUK YUK, I mean - how many of them picked their nose and given most are men (in my situ), no telling what else they picked  :o It is just so un-hygenic. and no I am not obssed about hand washing except after handshaking.

And DON'T EVEN THINK ABOUT TOUCHING MY MOUSE....last IT guy is still in therapy >:(
Still tired of coteries and bans. But hanging about anyway.

i'm exactly the same way!!  sometimes i think people are thinking i'm weird because i don't look at them when i talk.  the past couple years i've been making more of an effort...but it's really hard.

I'm like that too- I can be reserved to the point of seeming aloof when I first meet someone or don't know them that well...but I'm really not like that at all (and once I get to know someone they can't get me to shut up!) ;)

OK, Bob,  there is this great stuff called Purell, and you don't have to go to the loo to wash your hands. Think of the germs in there!!!!

I am totally with you on that.  My FIL smacks his food.  It is like fingernails down a chalkboard for me.  Eating mashed potatoes at the in-laws is torture...  My dad had a saying when we were little "close your mouth when you eat, you sound like a cow slopping through the mud!"

Kay, now something odd about me.  I don't like anyone else folding my laundry.  It drives me crazy because i have to have it folded a certain way.  I will go and fold it all again if it isn't right.

Agree with you there....it's kind of funny because I am pretty darn relaxed about most household things, but my laundry has to be folded just so.   :D
When I am grown-up I will understand how BEAUTIFUL it feels to administrate my life effectively.

Until then I will continue to TORCH all correspondence that bores me and to dance NAKED over the remnants of its still glowing embers.

I know but I feel that sends them a funny message if I wipe my hands in front of them. Sort of akin to a grandchild wiping away grandma's kiss... :P

I hate it when people insist on helping when I cook (its my baby) watch if you want but don't touch, and don't clean around me (I find that really disruptive)

Yep count me in on this one too.  DH is always trying to help out by folding laundry along side me and it drives me mad!  I really do appreciate the help and I do my best not to cry out 'no, you don't fold T shirts like that!' but sometimes I admit I just distract him by asking him to do some other chore.   :-\\\\ :-[
