OH just thought of another one! hehe, when I was about 4 or so. I was terrified of walking over those bridges that has a small gap in between each piece of wood. Its only about 1 inch space in between them but I was convinced I'd fall through it! hehehe

I had the same thing and also with open stairs and open rain gutters in the streets. My mom always atributed it to the fact that I was losing the vision in my right eye and my depth persception was/is really bad. Also, because of this problem, I am horrible at any sport involving catching or hitting a ball. One other related oddity to my vision is that I can never tell if leftover food is going to fit into a container....a whole size depth perception problem.

Here are a couple more... the bridge thing gets me too.

Cemetaries give me the willies, you could not pay me to go to one at night!

Closet doors have to be closed....me too on that one.

I have to sweep AND mop the kitchen floor every night for some reason.

I'm not afraid of going on boats for a short period of time (say ferries), but I'm deathly afraid of cruises.  The thought of being far away from land for a long period of time (8 or more hours) scares me for many reasons!

I am afraid of trains. (this is coming from someone who traveled around Europe for a month on a Eurorail pass last summer ::) ) Whenever I drive across railroad crossing, I stop and look both ways about 20 times. I'm sort of ok if I ride on them, but when I lived in England I took a bus to work more often than taking the train!

Yeah, and being way out in the ocean.  The Jaws movie scarred me for life.

I don't mind the take off so much, it's the landing.. This is crazy but I always have this split second panic that the pilot may be nuts and smash us into the airport. I think it comes from when I was a kid. We were standing in front of some big huge windows at an airport in California watching a plane pull up when my little sister freaked out and took off running away from the window screaming in terror.  :-\\\\ :-\\\\

Me too!!!  Mostly take offs, though....I find the whole sensation really unsettling.  Also, I always sit by the window, and the perspective is just so messed up during take off.  It looks like we're not moving forward at all, just kind of hovering there, and it really freaks me out.  But for some reason I still always have to look out the window...

Something some people would consider odd, but I don't -- I've never seen a James Bond movie in my life.  I know nothing about them, or him, and I don't want to.

I cannot drink anything with pieces of things in it, like fruit smoothies or orange juice with bits.  However, I will eat yoghurt with fruit in it, and I definitely will dunk my chocolate chip cookies in milk and drink the milk even though it has crumbs in it.

It freaks me out when people are chewing their food and then take a sip of their drink.  So there's a watery, half-chewed, mushy mess floating around in their mouths.  Ick!!

OMG!!!!  I thought I was the only one who thought this!!!!

I have to treat getting onto an escalator like you used to jumping into a game of jump rope when you were little - making sure it is just the right time to step on or else!!
