Cucumber Spears with Dill

I agree completely. I just want a Clausens! I am wary of any pickle sitting on a shelf and not in a refrigerator.

Why on earth would you need to refrigerate pickles at the supermarket!!!? They'll be refrigerating salt next!

You can get Beit Hashita Israeli garlic dill pickles in the kosher section of most supermarkets in my part of London! They're absolutely gorgeous and have no sugar added.

They come in tins and look like this

Technically there is no reason to refrigerate a pickle but that is where the Clausen's are and those are the only pickles that I like. I keep trying others but they just don't compare for me.

Have you tried making your own with cucumbers?  My Japanese roomate used to do this all the time...

Have you tried the Beit Hashita garlic dill pickles? If not will you try them?

I haven't tried them, but I definitely will. I think that I may have a hard time finding them in Leamington Spa, though. We don't have kosher sections just entire aisles devoted to crisps and biscuits  .  They may need to wait until my next venture to London.
