Am I in the minority on this.. I cannot stand the smell of Cinnabon in a mall. It honestly makes me feel ill! I have nothing against cinnamon rolls, but for some reason I can't deal with the sickly sweet smell drifting through an enclosed shopping center!  :P :-X

Yes, we're probably in the minority, but I agree with you! They smell nasty! Actually, it's the whole cinnamon thing I don't get. It's definitely an American "obsession" -- cinnamon isn't nearly as widely used in the UK. I don't mind it in moderation, but it's really not my favourite flavour or smell.

First Krispy Kreme and now Cinnabon. I think I'm the only one on the forum who hasn't ever had either one. :P But I do have to admit I'm not a huge fan of cinnamon so not sure I'd like Cinnabon anyway.

Just wanted to point out there is now a Cinnabon in the Trocadero in London.

I think Krispy Kreme doughnuts are heavenly I love the simple glazed doughnut. that is one of the first things Dh & I get when we go to the grocery store when we are in the States. Dh isn't all the big a fan of them as I am so more for me yeah.  ;D  [smiley=2thumbsup.gif]   my 17 year old niece always says she will eat Uncle Stuie's share I just laugh at her an ask her if she is crazy & has a death wish  [smiley=laugh3.gif]  but of course I let her have a few but then I cut her off lol.  :P  We don't have a Krispy Kreme close to us in the UK maybe thats a good thing cause I don't think I could help myself an them doughnuts wouldn't be very good for my diet I would be just going to the gym to work off my doughnut habit.  ::)  :P

This made me laugh, I had a Cinnabon just last week while I was in the states and it was sooo horrible and sickly. I remember they used to be so much better...it was gross.

mmmm they do sound good, I hate sugar coated jam donuts but they sound nice. Paddington does weird things to me I've discovered, I have bought something odd on my way home from work every day this week. Mmmm butterbean pie.

I can never eat a whole one. I only ever eat a few bites because it's so sickly sweet. I do like those few bites though!

Krispy Kreme is heaven in donut form.  ;D

I finally tried Cinnabon out of desperation about a month ago, we were starving and couldn't find the bagel place in the mall and nothing else was open that early in the morning. I will admit, the first bite was yummy but wow those things are really sweet. A few more bites was all I could manage. Way too gooey and sweet for me.  :P It was also a pretty expensive few bites.  ;D It's not the cinnamon that bothers me, I am a fan of cinnamon in general. It was all the icing I think that did me in.

Whenever I managed to finish one, I felt the need to clutch my chest to prevent cardiac arrest!  I'd always order extra icing.  Thank God there isn't one in Sheffield.  Krispy Kreme is just far enough from me where it is a treat when we get them.  My nine year old misses them and Dunkin Donuts.  We'd always get a donut on Friday mornings when we were living back home.
