My name is Cate and I will be moving to Reading area in May of 2004.  I have learned a lot already by lurking here and had a lot of smiles too.  I am a high school teacher in rural Michigan though I live in Kalamazoo, a small city.  

My husband Redrobin works for British Immigration - no throwing of objects please - and will be returning to his job in May.

I have Irish citizenship through my father and got my NHS card and number without showing any ID--which from reading these boards I gather must be quite unusual.  We have a home to return to which hopefully, will make things somewhat easier...

Looking forward to all I can learn here.  Thanks for sharing your experiences.  :-*

I don't think we will be throwing things at your husband!  As long as he is not from US Immigration which is a true nightmare! ;D

Spent last summer in England and visited 7 times before we got married.   Redrobin was the trooper though, when he came to the US to get married, it was trip 18!
