I took one for the team and hiked up to keu![/url for bahn mi for my office. Oh. My. God they're awesome! Even the half Vietnamese guy in my office said it was bitchin.

We were debating £6 pho at cay tre (glad we didn't in the end, as we went for dinner!) or Keu! again (twice this week :( ) but ended up doing £5 sausage and mash at S&M cafe as the weather was SO bag.

I went out to lunch with my husband, another expat friend, and two guys from my office to Sichuan Folk on Hanbury Street (between Brick Lane and Spitalfields). O.M.G. Except now I'm so stuffed I'm thinking I'll only be able to manage a small dinner tonight...

Because we were out last night, I had no leftovers so I got a pastrami and brie and rocket baguette from the canteen. Wow, that was really good.

mmmm, I miss bread.

I got a beef bun bo hue/pho from the new boxpark place, was yumzor. Not as good as the place on old street, but as it's less than 20 feet from my office, much more convenient!

ooh maybe you can answer - I heard there's a Mexican place in Boxpark, is it any good? (my office is just down Bethnal Green Road...)

My lunch today is leftover vegetable noodle soup from last night.

No, it's really bad. Well not really bad, that's unfair but it is both stingy and a little bland, and quite slow (but I did go there last Thursday on like opening day). It does have passable tortilla chips though.
It's called Mexicali I think and it's just a burrito bar, but if you just want something from a burrito bar then Poncho no 8 on the other side of Spittalfields is a little better :)

Boxpark has a nice looking burger place, I might take the team out for lunch there one Friday if they're good, I have enjoyed both my hop phos so far. They're not as good as Cay Tre's but much nearer my office. They also do a bahn mi, but haven't had one yet to compare to Keu's :)
There's a crussh, a chop'd (I never really rate Chop'd) and a pieminister as well.
Best of all there's an irregular choice and a cybercandy so I can get butterfingers for the boy.

Not too bad, C+ must try harder overall! :)

Yeah, these two excite me much more than a bland and boring burrito joint! Thanks for the down-low, I trust your foodie opinion totally. :)

yup, much better!

Pieminister on a cold day can be a welcome treat and Crussh do okay soups whilst you're buying lovely shoes and twizzlers, other than that, probably wouldn't bother to eat in there, especially not the burrito joint which I had such high hopes for :(

Actually the burger joint looks good, I haven't tried the coffee place yet as I always go to All Press (meh), Present (yay!) or Nude (yay!) and I'm never impressed by chopp'd, way overpriced :) Oh and I tried a sample at the sugar/fat free froyo place and that was pretty good.

I quite like it though, it's buzzy and cute and like, 10 feet away. Bonus, it means if I want a super quick lunch I don't have to go to the Albion (boo!).

Went to the gorgeous Dores Inn today along the shores of Loch Ness. Had mussels in a cider cream sauce with bacon and leeks and some soft brown bread. Yum, yum, yum!

I had a ham & cucumber sandwich on Hovis 50/50 bread, a couple peeled carrots, & a mini snack pack of Philly light cream cheese with mini Ritz crackers.
