I had porridge for lunch too! But, mine was curried with caramelized onions. So loving my savoury porridge!
Huh, that's different; never heard of curried porridge. Did you come up with the idea yourself?

No, I didn't come up with it myself...although I did kind of wonder, since oats/porridge don't have much flavor on their own,  if I could use it as a base for different flavors. I actually got it from My Fitness Pal (another forum site for people dieting, working out) from others while we were passing around ideas for oats. Some people like overnight oats, which I don't, but others said they like their oats savory. So I looked online and found quite a few. Some have been good...others were just ok. Its better with steel cut/pinhead oats...but I have a hard time finding them here, so I just use regular porridge oats.

Awesome.   I looked up a few recipes and can easily see this now - I'm going to have to try!  :)

Mahi mahi burgers from Trader Joe's. We only had one roll, so I just had mine on the plat with lettuce, onion, and avocado. Delicious!

Free Christmas lunch in the canteen today! Turkey and all the trimmings! Kilted pigs-pigs in a blanket- whatever folks call them -i.e. sausages wrapped in bacon -food of the gods!   Plus Christmas crackers and primary school kids singing Christmas carols!  This is always nice!  [smiley=2thumbsup.gif]

VooDoo Nachos from J. Gumbo's. I really do think I am addicted to them. They are just hot enough without being too spicy, although they are one of the hottest items on the menu.

That sounds too good.

I had apricots & peaches. Feeling vitamin deficient.   :-\\\\

UGH... I tried one of KFC's new so-called burritos.
Nasty, vile and just awful.

Somehow the words KFC and burrito just don't seem to belong together.

The tortilla wrap was stale, and ripping open at each fold.  Inside were a couple of chicken goujons, with some kind of seasoned rice, a piece of lettuce, and for the final insult...red kidney beans in some sort of vinaigrette-tasting juice.

I ended up pulling out the chicken fingers and eating them, throwing the rest to the gulls, who seemed like they liked it.

Surely someone in the research department should have realized that is nothing like a burrito? Glad the gulls enjoyed it, at least.
