I'll apply for the UP Visa next month, and this forum has been very helpful! I've been living with my partner for almost 11 years, I'm Brazilian and she's Italian. We had lived in Brazil until November 2004 and we're resident in Dublin, Ireland since then (I've got Working Authorisation).
Since we're not living in the UK and will only move together, after I get my UP Visa (hopefully), I'm very concerned about how much we need to have in our joint bank account before applying for the Visa.
Do you reckon € 9,000 (around £ 6,000) is enough?
We don't have a friend's house to stay or sponsor in the UK.
The truth is that I need the Visa to look for a job in the UK, and I intend to move to the UK only after I find one. There are loads of jobs in my area (Information Technology), but all of them require a Work Visa. I don't know whether I should add this intention to the cover letter or not.
