I've not been to that many countries, probably about 10, I really need to get visiting!

Brother's in-laws went to Belize on a sailing holiday, apparently it is becoming a huge thing in the States to go sailing around Belize.
I read the gov't has enacted laws to prevent any high-rise touristy type hotels there.

I've not been to Norway, Finland, Belgium, Holland, Germany, Switzerland or Italy in Western Europe, I really need to get to at least a few of these places soon.  We almost booked a trip to Japan but the flights were so expensive, not to mention the cost of the visit itself.  Still, I would have loved it if we could have gone.

I've been to:

England
Spain
Portugal
Germany
Italy
Greece
France
Scotland
Mexico
USA

I want to go to 50 countries and all 50 states before I'm 40. (been to about 27 states so far.

Here is a cool map-thing where you map where you've been. :-)

I've been nowhere.  Outside of the US, I've technically been to Canada and Mexico but I don't think they count.

When I was six months old, my (insane) parents packed up their VW camper van and took me on a cross-country trip to meet my east coast relatives.  During that trip we went to Montreal for a day.  The only proof I have of being there is a picture of me in front of a "Poulet Frit Kentucky" sign. ::)

As for Mexico, I've only been to Ensenada for a few hours.  I wouldn't really call that more than a layover.  Besides... it's Ensenada, ffs! :P

It's amazing though, how many people never leave their home country!

Trust me, it's not for lack of want.  I have always wanted to travel, but have never had the means.  It seems that every time I managed to scrape a bit of extra money together, something comes up and it has to be used elsewhere. :-\\\\

Also amazing is the the amount of Americans that don't have a passport.

I've never had a passport.  Why bother having one if you don't ever have the opportunity to use it?

Damn, I feel positively provincial compared to most of the people here!

See above.  That should make you feel like a globtrotter. ;)

I've only been to the England, although I traveled quite a bit around it..London, Birmingham, Wales.  There still so much left to see...I can't wait!!!  Once "settled", we plan to take advantage of those great European flight prices I've been so jealous of.

I've been all over the US though, and I think some Americans might agree that some states can seem like totally different countries!!!

Oh, right.  Wales is a country in itself correct?  Sorry....no intention to offend.  What I saw of it was lovely though.

I assimilate well. ;)  Family friends I've known my whole life are British, and I think all the time I've spent with them has rubbed off a bit.

Now, if my husband's company would get off it's a** and figure out what they're doing I very well may end up living in the UK...  but that's another thread entirely.

Germany (east and west before they reconnected)
Luxembourg,
Belgium,
Holland,
Switzerland,
France,
Denmark,
Sweden,
Norway,
Austria,
Yugoslavia,(now the croatia area)
Czechoslovakia,
Czech Republic  and Slovakia (after it changed it's name),
East Germany (before the wall fell),
Poland,
Liechtenstein,
Andorra,
Monaco,
Russia,
Italy,
Vatican,
Spain,
Portugal,
Hungary,
Wales,
England,
Australia,
Honduras,
Bahamas,
Bonaire,
Mexico,
Maldives.
Not sure these places count as countries - but they are islands in the Pacific that I've visited...
Guam, Palau, Yap, Truk, Pohnpei, Bali, Saipan and of course Hawaii

Have lived in: New Mexico, Texas, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Utah, California, Colorado, Germany, Guam and England and have visited many states.

We're going to Scotland for spring break and to Kenya and Tanzania in September.

Gosh - I never have written this all down to realize all the places I've been.... :o  I'm a military brat and was forced to move all my life between my dad being in the AF and my husband just retired after 29 years in the AF as well.  We have definately taken advantage of the areas we have been moved around to...just didn't realize how much! :o hmmm no wonder it's hard to really retire somewhere and stay put, but eventually we will be moving to Colorado and calling it home forever!
