Thorntons Chocolate
« on: March 09, 2006, 12:59:51 PM »
Yum yum yum!  I got the spring catalog in the post today -- it has this amazing chocolate fountain electric appliance for sale in it!  I would never buy it, but OMG -- a chocolate fountain! ;D

I love Thorntons chocolates.  (there should be a fat smiley)

I don't know!  I want to try all of their varieties, but I have to be good.  When I have indulged, it's usually a wee bag of the Continental bon-bons.  We had their chocs as our wedding favours, and whenever I go to the States -- if I can -- I take boxes of Thorntons for everyone & they all rave about it.

Mmmmmm... Thornton's butter tablet ...mmmm ... It's so hard (and dangerous!) to make, that I feel justified in treating myself every now and then!  ;)

I went to a wedding which had the chocolate fountain at the cocktail reception; with big plates of strawberries, marshmallows, biscuits, etc to dip in the fountain.

My company party had this.  I literally stood around it and talked to the guys who were trying to take it down while I distracted them by asking about New Zealand (where they were from).  While shoving chocolate etc. in my mouth of course.    :)

I imagine being covered in chocolate (you know like a little kid) if I had a chance to get at one of those chocolate fountains.

(After cooking tea last night, DH said I looked like a mucky pup! :-[)

Now what is that -- the butter tablet? :)

It is a traditional Scottish Sweetie (candy), similar to fudge but a bit harder / grainier, sort of just melts heavenly in your mouth.

Not sure what the differences are in the ingredients but it is lovely.

A chocolate fountain. So Ponce de Leon was looking for the wrong FOUNTAIN!
Still tired of coteries and bans. But hanging about anyway.

You know it! I'm trying desperately to resist the urge to break into it -- trying to keep it for the weekend so I can share with Guy.
