Explain something to me about basketball

I went to a Basketball game for the first time in 25 years today.   And the players were all wearing giant shorts down to their knees.  What's THAT about?   

Right!! Remember when they wore the really short shorts and knee socks!

YES.  There were no tube socks either!  They had on short socks.  I must be getting old.

Same with tennis players. Remember the shorty-short days of McEnroe and Borg?

Here I thought you wanted some rules or something.

Men's legs are far more important than the rules of the game!

The shorts-down-to-your-calves fashion... erm... "statement" hasn't crossed the Atlantic?  I can't even find a normal length pair for my 2 year-old!

It's a shame John Stockton retired 2 yrs ago...he was the last one to wear the Nair shorts

I think they've been wearing those shorts for a while Mindy.   It's so old ladies like you can't perve at their legs.
