A moment of silence if you please
« on: August 29, 2002, 05:33:53 PM »
for the late, great Spouse House.

I feel it's time to honor our comical (and oh so twisted) significant others and their endless supply of mindless banter and juevenile sheenanigans that gave us the desire to spy on them daily.

I can only surmise the reasons that Spouse House has fallen so silent, but as of late it's as quiet and reverent as Church.
So with that being said .. let's take a moment to remember those who made snooping so much fun.

To Belgian_Beer aka Obe-Glen-Kanobe and his rapier wit. His twisted humor led to endless guffaws and the eventual 'outing' of his sidekick Steve as the cross dressing, wannabe woman superhero that we know him to be today. That photo alone will be remembered with laughter and alot of antacid  :-X
A moment of respectful silence if you please ....

To UKSteve aka Yoda Steve .. the Boy Wonder to Belgian Beers Batman, your head chopping, photo-altering,wolverine-hedgehog mating, cookie baking antics will be remembered by all. You gave us a million reasons to laugh and your wife a million reasons to smack you for it  [smiley=whip.gif] ... Thank You.

To all the others who followed in your twisted footsteps and added to the merriment (spices, spouses, or just plain victims, whatever you choose to call yourselves) We Salute You  [smiley=bootyshake.gif]

As we remove our smelly man clothes and unpeel our sticky fake mustaches (mail those back to Wishstar everyone ..with a £3 cleaning fee if you will) we can't help but pause and wonder .....WHERE DID YOU ALL GO??!! [smiley=bigcry.gif]

I've got to stop reading the forum while at work. My giggling is getting me some funky stares.

this is because the 'beautiful game' (football) (...soccer) has started a new season. once that first ball is kicked (sounds painful) a switch is flicked inside all football loving fans heads, such that their every thought is consumed with football, and can't possibly bring themselves to talk about anything else.

especially when you support a team that has unmatched quality & style - Arsenal

Festivities will resume after 9/11.  The Management of the Spouse House thought it was appropriate to introduce a 'time-out' building up to the anniversary of this tragic event.

One of the many reasons why I love you so much...  Your selflessness as a person and a man.  Thank you Glen as well as Steve for keeping that in mind.

Yep,    we're here.....as ever.  We won't go away that easy ;  but,  we'll sit and think on over this time,  and just wish everyone the best of strength to get through , what will undoubtedly be ,  a difficult time.

I'm new here and I'll be haunting the Spouse House from time to time.  I don't have the soccer excuse though - I fled the UK last year after I got a visa to emigrate with my wife, and anyway I see the lack of soccer on TV as an attraction of the US. :P

It's a year later but...

Let's get a couple of things straight.. ;D

1) It is "football" not soccer. Proof: The "other game" hardly uses feet on the ball at all and it is organized internatioanally by FIFA not FISA. Also, I do actually really enjoy "gridiron" which is a great name for the sport.
2) Orb, shouldn't it be The Arsenal? I was sad to see that they lost so badly today in the Champions League after such a bright start in the Premiership.

:P I always hated the name "Premiership" for the football league.  It doesn't mean anything!  Premier would mean first...Premiership is just two words they rammed together  ::) It just makes me think that the people who set the league up were sitting in a room trying to come up with a word that meant bigger and better than "Premier division" and this is all they could come up with, and I bet they got paid millions for it too!!
