Question about Visa....

This may sound like a stupid question, but I noticed that the numbers on the bottom of my visa (ex: 123456789USA12234F12390909<<<<<<<) look almost exactly like the numbers on my passport, except for the last seven numbers.
Are they supposed to match exactly?

No, it's fine.  F for female and the remaining numbers are your reference.  All's well...
