I am here(Plymouth) & my DF is in Norway which is why I am up online now!   I lived on Mutley Plain till last month! Houndiscombe Rd actually, which is gorgeous but now live in the married patch, he's a Royal Marine.
I like Mutley, it's fun. And it has the best Dominos pizza I have ever had.

I found my dress :D

Fiance was fussing as I hadn't even looked yet and I move in 2 months.  So I went to the mall and as I walked past sales rack in Bloomingdales and there it was... tried it on- perfect fit. It had a makeup smudge on the inside, and they not only cleaned it but took even more off the sales price. I couldn't have found a dress that was more me if I'd tried.

Now for the shoes...  [smiley=wideeyed.gif]

i got mine from a bridal shop in iowa-- http://weddingexpressions.com/

they'll give you a quote on any dress if you give them the maker/style number/name. i got my gorgeous jessica mcclintock gown from there for $249--it was almost $500 on the mcclintock website!

also, this book rocks: http://www.windsorpeak.com/bridalbargains/default.html. that's where i found the place i got my dress.

I got mine from...wait for it....e-bay!   ;D

I found an awesome company in Hong Kong on there that custom makes them.  It's amazingly beautiful, and only cost about $160, shipping and duties included.

Two months isn't enough to order a wedding dress.  I ordered mine from a bridal store in London in august and it isn't expected till the end of november.

Just depends on the brand and where the dress is made -- I ordered mine in February and had it by April.

Ditto. Actually mine wasn't even a "wedding" dress although it was white and lacey.  It all depends what you want.

I had a registry wedding first, got that dress in House of Frasier on sale for £60.  It was not a wedding dress at all but worked well (Except that it was too loose at the top.

I got my other wedding dress in London and took it in my suitcase back to the US when I got married there.  (Saw the same dress for a few hundred cheaper in NY, but it was good to know I had the dress, took 2 months to get it)
