Can I get the USDA to sign off before the tapeworm?

Does anyone know the answer to this question?  Can I get the USDA certfication and then the tapeworm?  Thanks

I'm not sure, as I'm in the middle of the process myself, but I am pretty sure that they have to.  I think you send the forms to the USDA 7 to 10 days before travel (due to the need for a second travel clearance from the USDA that is a US requirement).  They fill everything out, then your vet finishes the form when you get your flea/tick/worming done 24-48 hours before travel.

Hopefully someone who has done this already will clarify.

That's what mine did.  We received the papers back signed by the USDA vet and then my local vet finished it off.

I did the opposite, had tick/worm done, forms filled out by my vet, then drove to the USDA office right before checking her onto our flight.  But we have a USDA office one exit before SFO, so no need to mail it!

I got mine certified and then had the tick/tapeworm done.
