Any Yanks catch the football tonite ? A thrilling match, great flowing football from Arsenal, The Old Lady didn't have any answers. Can we Brits prise you Yanks from away from US Sports to the 'Beautiful' game ?  ;D

I watched it.  Nice work from the Gunners!  Funny how Arsenal is kicking a$$ in the Champion's League, and yet they keep dropping in the Premiership this season.   :-\\\\

"The Beautiful Game" -- I don't know about that.  You can bet I won't be watching football when there's a Yankees game on.

On a related note, when we were first dating and before I'd ever seen an Arsenal match, DH bought me an Arsenal shirt, which I wore to a Yankees game.  I had some crazy fan at Yankee Stadium in the Bronx stop, point at my chest, and yell "Goooners!"  Of course at that time, I had no clue what he was talking about, and so as I'm trying to make my way past him as quickly as possible, my idiot BF was standing there giving him a high-five.

There's quite a few of us that watch football.  And truth be told, it was a crafty little Italian that attracted me to the game.  Nothing to do with Brits or prising.

Did your "crafty little Italian" play for Chelsea by chance?

Even though it was nil-nil, I rather enjoyed the game against Real Madrid.  Didn't get to see much of the game last night, as I was cooking dinner at the time, but did get to listen to it.

Yep, 1999-2000 CL season, v Skonto Riga, home leg.  A couple of weeks after that I was at my first match v Milan.  Boring nil-nil, but terribly exciting to be at match.

Yep, watch my Gooners take it to Juve.  Just need to finish them off next week in Torino.
