Computer to TV
« on: March 30, 2006, 06:21:13 PM »
We have a lot of movies and episodes downloaded on the computer that I want to watch on the tv. What card or software do I need for this?

My husband says you need a graphics card with a "TV out" port and then an S-video cable to connect the two.

You're welcome. We watch a lot of stuff that way. Saves money on using CDs and DVDs.

Remember too that S-video connections use the appropriate NTSC or PAL color encoding, so make sure that the video adapter in the computer is configured to provide a signal suitable for your TV.
