I've been really, really pleased with the amount of American Food in Tescos. While I don't at all want it to be an American Gracory store and love the Englishness of it, it still is so nice to see Bisquick, El Paso Salsa, Pepperidge Farm Sausalito Cookies, etc... and I'm gonna have to check out those mac-a-noonies the next time I'm "cheating". ;) Thanks wench!

I think I stated in some long buried post that  you can get the Kraft Mac-n-Cheese here, it is just called Cheesy Pasta.  I have yet to see it at my local Tescos, but I used to get it from Safeway and (oddly enough) my local news agent.  I highly recommend every one going in every random news agent they come across.  You wouldn't believe the gems I have found.  One even had a few jars of Skippy peanut butter!

I bought it for my husband in our most recent shop so it's still around.  You should be able to get it in Tesco's.

It still exists, but it is NOT the same as the blue box Kraft!
I've heard it described as tasting like 'wet dog'.

It's not the same as Kraft, which may not help if that's what you're craving, but M&S's macaroni cheese is really good. Nearly as good as my own homemade stuff. ;)

Just make home-made!
It's so easy, and you can make it exactly the way you like it, with any blend of cheeses you like!

I couldn't find the stuff in the red box at Tesco's, but they have one my husband loves: Batchelors Pasta 'n' Sauce Macaroni Cheese. Nummy.

you dont really need a recipe!

Just cook your pasta... any shape you like.

Then, in a saucepan, dump a couple of handfuls of grated cheese... any kind you like.  Mix in a little bit of milk and keep stirring it while it melts.   If you need more milk, add it.  If you need more cheese, add it.   I sometimes put a bit of butter in as well.   When it's all melted and looks like a cheese sauce, mix it into the cooked & drained pasta, then sprinkle more grated cheese over the top and bake for 15-20 mins or till it looks the colour you like it to be.

I like some buttered breadcrumbs (or crumbled up crackers) on top of mine, too! But other than that, I do the same as Q-G. It's very easy!  :)
