After 5 years, I've finally had high tea.  I had it for lunch, with ham sandwiches, fruit scone with clotted cream and jam and chocolate cake.  It was so amazing and so filling my friend who went to lunch with me had to help me eat it.  And I had to refuse mince pies at a reception I helped with later in the afternoon.   :)

Totally recommend Earl Grey Tea rooms in the Shambles for high tea.  It's cheaper than Betty's and I was told by my friend who ended up sharing quite a lot of it with me that it's better too.   :)
