you mean the guac isn't real?  ???  ;)

It's fast food.  Did you think ANY of it was real?

Have to say, I love Taco Bell (and Taco Time, in the Pacific NW) but I would NEVER want to read the ingriedent list.  Ignorance is bliss ...

i use them to make my own pintos & cheese.

I make my own burritos and pintos and cheese, but forgot to get the sauce before coming over :( I used to have about 5 bottles on hand at all times hehehe I have been wanting burritos and pintos and cheese, and real mexican...:(

I managed at Taco Bell. The pico was real. We had to make it every day, and even chop the cilantro. I agree about the beans though, they came in a paper bag, and were dried, just add boiling water. The meat was boil in the bag. Chicken and steak as well. The guac came out of cardboard bottles, that we would squirt out of a gun. Cheddar cheese was real though!! Remember when they had breakfast?? I used to love the breakfast quesadillas.

Oh, do they not do breakfast anymore?
I remember about 10 years or so ago, having a really good hangover breakfast at Taco Bell.

LOL!

I guess my beef (pun intended) is with all fast food. I've never been to Taco Bell or Burger King. I once had a yogut parfait at McDonald's, but that's the only time I ever went. I'd rather wait an extra 5 minutes and have something edible. Just my 2-cents.

Yah, they stopped it long ago. I loved the gravy they used to have, with the little hash brown nuggets. We used to make our own stuff......one of our faves to make was chimechangas! (dunno if I spelled that right.)

God, that brings back memories!  One of my first jobs was working at Taco Bell.  I haven't been able to step into the restaurant since, the smell gets me sick.

Although if someone brought me Taco Bell outside of a restaurant I could scarf it all just fine.  Yay for chalupas!

Does anyone remember Pup & Taco?
They built one in my hometown just about the time i moved away, so i dont think i ever ate there, but always thought it a funny name.

The area where i grew up had a Del Taco, Taco Bell, Naugles, a McDonalds, a Wendys, a Jack In The Box, an In-and-Out Burger, a Carl's Jr, and a Der Weinerschnitzel!   Fast Food City, man!   :-\\\\

I worked in Wendy's when i was in high school.

And gorditas!  Mmmmmm.  DH says I am a gordita. ::)

I remember loads of different fast food taco places (around where I grew up):  Taco Bell, Taco Tico, Taco Grande, Taco Hut, Taco Johns... :P

Pup & Taco!! LOL I remember the name, I think the one near where I grew up became Der Wienerschnitzel (the most ridiculous name ever for a place that served hot dogs!). And OMG, Naugles! There wasn't one in L.A., but as a kid we used to go to a resort in Beaumont, CA every summer and as teenagers we used to take my parents car out of the resort and to Naugles for our big Friday night outting and hung out with the "townies."

Oh, I love Taco Time!

And Jennredd, I love In & Out too. But I like to get cheeseburgers, animal style, with no meat! Yum!

This thread is making me hungry for tacos -- in the morning!  I was going to get a takeaway tonight, but I may have to make myself some Tex-Mex food instead. :P
