Appointment Link
« on: April 12, 2006, 11:30:38 PM »
Is anyone else having trouble with the appointment link on the Britainusa site?  I've completed my application and want to make an appointment in NY, but every time I try, I'm unable to.  I emailed them but haven't heard anything back yet.  In the meantime, the dates are slipping by!

I remember having a problem with the appointment link, but I switched web browsers and then it worked.  I don't recall which one I was using, though.

I'm using Internet Explorer, so will try another one.  I emailed them, but haven't gotten a response other than the automated one saying they don't handle visa inquiries that are less than 10 days old, etc.   Anyway, I'll try another browser when I get home from work, AND I'm going to try phoning them.  Will keep you posted.

Just tried accessing the appointment link here at work, and for some reason it all went through fine!  I don't know what the problem was on my computer at home, but thanks again for suggesting I try another browser.

Discovered that someone must have read my email, because when I attempted to book the appointment just now, I got a response saying I ALREADY have one scheduled!  HOORAY!  The only thing is, I don't know what time, so will still phone them later on if I haven't received an email from them by then.

Do I sound a little anxious?  I can't wait for this to all be done!

Guess I was a little too optimistic regarding the possibilty of my email getting read.  Called the 900 number and inquired about the situation.  They said I still needed to reschedule the appointment via the website because there was no way I could make one through an email.  It made sense because they said I needed a confirmation, and I hadn't received one yet.  So, I tried again, and it's all finally really sorted now and I've got my confirmation.  PHEW!  That's all I can say

Glad you got it sorted. I am one of those who had to switch browsers to get the appointment thing to work. Mozilla didn't work, IE did. Good luck! :)
