Officially engaged!!

I just got back from Wales and England on Monday.  It was wonderful!!  I really enjoyed Cardiff, and most importantly, I can now officially call my df a df!  My friends have told me that they took a vote and felt I definitely came home with the best souvenir of Wales they've seen.  "I came home with a figurine and a flag, you came home with a diamond ring!"

I'm very excited and everything went so well.  DF and I have about 13 years of history, but it has only been recently that we have come back together and decided on marriage.  I'm so happy to have him in my life again.  He is a good man and makes me happy.

I'm so glad that I also enjoyed Cardiff.  We will be moving there after we get our visa.  Our wedding will be in October and then we are going for a spousal visa as soon after that as we can.  I am very excited and thought I would share the news here.

Even if you discuss it before, and you know that you are going to become engaged, there's always something wonderful about getting the ring.  CONGRATS!

Thank you all for your nice wishes!  I appreciate the kind thoughts.  I am so excited to come.  I'm not so excited about planning two receptions in two continents at the same time, but I'm trying to enjoy it still and not let the process pass me by or bury me in details.  I'm sure the six months will go much sooner than I think they will.
