Self-preservation! Always have a Plan B! ;D

True, that is how my friend met her husband actually, Plan B. (And I met mine through them)

Good luck!

There's got to be some serious trust issues if you're making a plan b just incase the person doesn't show up to pick you up. If you think that before going...why go?  :-\\\\

He will show to pick me up, as we've discussed meeting plans already, so I'm not worried about that.  Having a plan B when traveling alone or in a group is just always something I do for my own peace of mind, even when I go on business trips.  You never know when a flight is going to be cancelled or delayed or your hotel room isn't what you expected and requested--I've had those things happen and I've been separated from my traveling companions as a result, but I've been okay since I came prepared with information about other safe places for me to go.

Enjoy the trip to London...and remind us when you get here...perhaps you could meet up with us Londoners one evening for a drink!

Thanks--I just wish I had more time there!  I'll only be in London for two days, as the itinerary right now is a whirlwind tour of the country!  But I will keep this in mind.

Yeah I guess it's a good idea...all i was saying was you know this person (im assuming you've met him before) ...so if you've got the feeling like he's not gonna show then why go. Atleast that's what I got from that response ...maybe i read wrong.

Anyway! have a great trip! be safe and all that jazz

Wherever you go, no matter what the weather, always bring your own sunshine.

It's ok.  This is someone I know very, very well; even so, I want to know what's around me, what other places I could go, etc.  I think it'll be fine though.

You have a great trip too!  I know you will.

You never know...

That's reason enough!

You will have an excellent trip no matter what with your sensible head! Good for you.

Plus, getting through immigration will be a breeze when you show you can care for yourself if the worst should happen. From what I've gleened from many women who go without a plan or means, they get hung up in immigration and worst case senario get denied entry. Now that would suck if you were truly just visiting a friend.  :-\\\\
