Ooohhh!!!  Those look nice.  Look like softer leather too.  I'm slightly afraid of the pain when I first wear them. (I don't remember that it was to bad though!)  I need better socks though, hmm, now I need to buy socks

Yeah, breaking in a pair of docs can be very painful indeed - but they will reward you with years of footlove!

Dr. Martens Wonder Shoe Balsam is meant to be good for softening the tough leather to make breaking them in a bit easier... never tried it myself, but it might be worth a go if you find yourself in pain?

I hardly ever buy stuff online (besides airline tickets), but I just ordered a book from Amazon called "Paddy on the Hardwood". 

It's about a basketball coach who leaves everything in the US to come to Ireland and coach a team of kids while also learning Irish fiddle.  Supposedly it's not really about basketball, but more about a clash of cultures (good--I'm not into basketball!).
