A couple new cloth diapers, wraps and accessories for the kid and a print of a vintage Mercedes advert which is a house-warming gift for my friends.

Sprigged, do you buy your designer stuff on eBay? I have been considering some Marc Jacobs and other stuff off of eBay, but I don't want poorly made fakes. I bought a Moschino coat, but it was from a UK seller and turned out to be the real deal. Just wondering about some of the clothes from Hong Kong or other places.

You have to be reeeeally careful. I tend to prefer sample sales, etc, but I wrote this for another site on how to avoid fakes:

2. Are the fabrics super cheap? I have heard Qualms about MJ's quality, however crappy 2 cent a meter lace will not be on a £1000 dress.

3. Read feedback *including the positive* Positives may say, "love the dress, I think it is fake, oh well!"

4. Check the seller's English, it should be good if they claim they are in California. And watch for claims that the dress is a "prototype" or may not match the dresses in the shops.

5. Finally, if the seller has 100 of the same dress, all starting at 19.99, yeah, it's probably fake.
