1st move to UK - 1993 (Letter of Consent granted at British Embassy in Washington DC)
ILR - 1994 (1 year later - no fee way back then!)
Back to US in 2000
Returned to UK July 2011 (Spousal Visa/KOL endorsement)
ILR - September 2011
Application for naturalization submitted July 2014
Approval received 15-10-14; ceremony scheduled for 10 November!
Passport arrived 25 November 2014. Finally done!

New vacuum. Although I busted open the box and hoovered the flat (our crappy old one was making me so angry I hadn't vacuumed in almost 2 weeks), I wasn't nearly as happy as I remember my mom being when she got her first Electrolux when we were kids.  Hopefully this will last a few years, and we can finally get my Dyson.

The simple things I guess.

Folding tray tables like we had in the States. Hubby doesn't like side tables or end tables in the living room as they don't come up high enough. We ALWAYS had folding tables in the States on either side of the sofa and Argos had the exact same thing...although twice the price...so I bought them and hubby is VERY happy.

02/03/2012-Email from UK Consul General application needs further processing will receive decision within 10 working days.
02/09/2012-Request for more payslips and custody papers for daughter.
02/22/2012-Submit the requested documents with prayers.
02/24/2012-UK settlement visas issued :)
03/12/2012-Arrive in MAN UK :)

A 'Mind the Gap' t-shirt. It was from an American company specializing in UK items, so it has been shipped to mom's and I will get it in a few weeks.

As if living in Glasgow for 20 years hasn't done enought damage to my teeth!! ::)

When Dh & I were in the States last April I had an never ending supply of Welches grape soda I always had at least 2 or 3 in my sisters fridge at all times. ;D  [smiley=2thumbsup.gif]

Keep checking TK Maxx over the summer I bought a 24 pack of A&W in there last year.
