I just looked up Moreton Bay Bugs because I had no idea what they are ... just a species of lobster found in Australia. Nothing too icky about that -- except for the fact that I'm allergic to lobster. :(

20. Alligator
22. Kangaroo
31. Venison
32. Guinea pig
36. Barramundi
37. Reindeer
40. Australian meat pie
42. Durian fruit
43. Octopus

And I think I probably will leave it at that.  :-X

I have tried all but Moreton Bay Bugs,guinea pig ,Australian meat pie and Durian fruit.
I am surprised they dont mention "Rocky mountain Oysters"

Maybe they just aren't worth eating?  Every tried them?  Are they actually tasty, or just shocking?

I had a look at the BBC link ... people voted for this stuff but it doesn't say anyone's actually tried it.  I don't believe more people who voted have eaten guinea pig  than Cornish pasties.

40. Australian meat pie
46. Tapas
48. Haggis
49. Caviar

i could easily take care of 19, 38 and 46 in this country though.  kebab's just don't look all that appealing to me....but maybe i haven't been drunk enough yet.   ;)

And I think the Walkabout pub chain used to do a Kangaroo burger at one time, that's no 22 knocked off if you really want to ...

I say we should come up with our own list!
