Hibiscus tea
« on: April 26, 2006, 09:03:28 AM »
If anyone sees this anywhere let me know. I've been looking for it for ages and ages after having it in Africa.   I've found a couple of places online but they're quite expensive.  It's the pure Hibiscus I'm after, I have Rosehip & Hibiscus but it's not the same.   Now the weather is geting warmer I'm dying for some iced karkaday (hibiscus)!

I know I've had it before, but I think that might have been in the US. I've never looked for it here, but will keep an eye out and let you know if I see it anywhere.

Hello... The mexican places carry it in flower form... Agua de Jamaica...

or flor de Jamaica...

I have ordered it from  Cool Chili... love the stuff!

This place has it and it's pretty inexpensive ... but they're in France so there's a flat shipping rate of €15 per order. Still, if you ordered other stuff as well, it might be worth it.

Don't know if that's any good, but the postage is low.

Are you in the UK?  Have you tried Holland and Barratt?

Holland and Barratt doesn't have it ... nor any other health food shop I've tried. They have rosehip & hibiscus and other combinations with hibiscus but they taste different

I'll be in France in a month if you want to wait until then....I am all about saving on shipping/postage!!  To the extent that I seriously doubt I am saving as much as I think I am...but hey I don't mind.
